Background

From the pitch to the program.

Chris grew up in the game. 25 years of competitive football across junior leagues, senior amateur, and the kind of week-in, week-out training that teaches you what actually moves a player forward and what just looks busy. That experience is the spine of how he coaches now.

Accelerate Performance Football started from a frustration he saw on both ends. Junior players were being handed generic group drills that didn't push them toward the senior level. Senior players were left with the same warm-up-then-scrimmage routine they'd done since under-14s. Both groups deserved better - structured private sessions, honest assessment, a plan that matched their position and where they wanted to go.

Over the last 5 years he's built that into a program of 125+ athletes, a 92% progression rate, and a coaching philosophy that gets repeated session after session: precision in every movement, every decision, every play. No drill runs unless it has a reason. No session ends without a player walking off knowing what got sharper.

Chris is the lead coach on every program APF runs - Junior Prep, Senior Refinement, Off-Season Conditioning, and Injury Return. Sessions run out of West Point Soccer Club at 2 Webster St, Point Cook, the venue we hire for private coaching.

Coaching Philosophy

How Chris runs a session.

01

Assess before you instruct

Every new player starts with an honest read of where they actually sit - technical ability, decision-making, conditioning. The plan gets built from that, not from a template.

02

Drill with a reason

Every rep targets a specific weakness or a specific game scenario. Generic ball work doesn't get prescribed - if a player can't tell you why they're doing a drill, it doesn't belong in the session.

03

Measure the improvement

Progress is tracked, not guessed. Players see what got sharper week to week so the work compounds visibly - and so they know exactly what they're paying for.

04

Refine, don't replace

We run alongside club training, not on top of it. The session sharpens what you already do well and patches what your club training doesn't have time to fix.
