Who we coach and how we work
Who do you coach at Accelerate Performance Football?
We coach juniors from age 6 through to senior-level players. Ability and commitment matter more than age. Most of our players are juniors stepping up to senior football, senior players sharpening their game, and parents who want a private alternative to club training.
Can adults and senior players train with you?
Yes. Senior Refinement is built specifically for experienced players who already know the game and want to sharpen what already makes them dangerous. We work with senior-league players, returning amateurs, and anyone serious about levelling up.
Do you offer off-season training?
Off-Season Conditioning is one of our four core programs. Aerobic endurance, explosive power, agility, and continued technical work so skills don't deteriorate between seasons. It's how players arrive at pre-season ahead of teammates who took the break off.
Do you work with players returning from injury?
Yes. Our Injury Return program is built around rebuilding strength and match fitness with weekly check-ins so the program adjusts to how the player is moving. We work alongside a player's medical team where needed. Recovery is structured, not guessed.
Who are the coaches?
Chris Sutera is Head Coach with 5 years coaching and 25 years playing experience. James Sutera is a trainer with 2 years coaching and 16 years playing experience. Both bring playing-grade insight into every session, not just textbook coaching. Read more on the about page.
02 · Sessions
How sessions run
How long is each session?
Sessions run for 60 minutes. Each one is structured around a warm-up, dedicated technique work, and conditioning. The structure stays consistent so progress is measurable session to session.
Where are sessions held?
Our home training venue is West Point Soccer Club, 2 Webster St, Point Cook VIC 3030. Most one-on-one and Small Unit sessions run there. We confirm field allocation when you book.
Players drive in from Hoppers Crossing, Werribee, Altona, Williamstown, and across the Wyndham and Hobsons Bay corridor.
Do you do private one-on-one coaching or group sessions?
Our focus is private one-on-one coaching tailored to the individual player. We also run Small Unit sessions for 2 to 6 players if you want to train with a sibling, teammate, or small group. Small Unit sessions sit at a lower per-session rate than one-on-one.
What should I bring to my first session?
Football boots, water, and a willingness to work. That's it. We bring the rest - cones, balls, bibs, and a session plan tailored to the player's level after the first assessment.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is an assessment. We evaluate technical ability, decision-making, and physical conditioning to give the player a clear picture of where they sit. From there we build a personalised training plan that targets weaknesses and position-specific skills.
How quickly will I see improvement?
Most players notice ball control and decision-making gains within the first 4 to 6 sessions when training is paired with their own practice. Bigger changes - positional awareness, match-day composure, physical conditioning - typically land across a 13-week Game Changer block. 92% of athletes we work with show measurable progression.
03 · Pricing
Cost & discounts
How much does private football coaching cost?
Our packages range from $55 per session (Total 90 season block) up to $100 per session (Tune Up 1-on-1 5-pack). Longer commitments unlock lower per-session rates. Full pricing for The Tune Up, The Game Changer, and The Total 90 is on the pricing page.
Do siblings or West Point Soccer Club players get a discount?
Yes. Siblings training together and registered West Point Soccer Club players get discounted Small Unit pricing across The Tune Up, The Game Changer, and The Total 90. The discount applies on the per-session rate, with savings up to $10 per session compared to standard pricing.
What's the difference between Tune Up, Game Changer, and Total 90?
The Tune Up is a 5-session pack, available 1-on-1 or as a Small Unit. Best for players testing the waters or working on a specific skill.
The Game Changer is a 13-week Small Unit block built for measurable mid-term improvement across a half season.
The Total 90 is a 26-week Small Unit season block - the deepest commitment and the lowest per-session rate. Best for serious players preparing for a full competitive season.
